A highly regarded national law firm with a market-leading Intellectual Property practice is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate (2–5 years) to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate who wants meaningful responsibility, real courtroom exposure, and a sustainable platform to build a long-term patent litigation career.
About the RoleYou will work on complex, high-value patent disputes across a range of technologies, collaborating closely with experienced litigators on matters pending in federal courts and before administrative tribunals.
Responsibilities- Patent litigation matters from early strategy through trial
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Taking and defending depositions
- Working directly with clients, experts, and trial teams
- Opportunity for trial exposure, including witness preparation and examination
- 2–5 years of patent litigation experience
- Engineering or technical background required
- Trial experience strongly preferred (including witness work)
- Deposition experience is a strong plus
- Texas-based candidates preferred but not required
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Stable career history (no excessive job-hopping)

- Base salary: $215,000 – $250,000 (depending on experience)
- Bonus:
Available (structure in place) - Billable requirement: ~1,600 hours
