The Intellectual Property group assists clients with the full lifecycle of their IP assets, from acquisition and protection to enforcement, licensing, and strategic commercialization. The team handles complex cross-border disputes, patent strategy and prosecution, trademark and copyright matters, trade secret issues, and related commercial challenges. With more than five decades of experience and a global network of attorneys, the practice offers robust support on high-stakes and multijurisdictional IP matters.
OpportunityThe Dallas office is seeking a mid-to-senior-level associate to join its Intellectual Property team, with a focus on patent work. The role includes supporting complex IP disputes, such as patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and false advertising matters, while also assisting with patent prosecution and patent-related transactions. Associates in this practice gain exposure to high-impact work, collaboration with cross-border teams, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to major litigation and strategic projects.
Qualifications- Background in patent matters, including litigation or disputes
- Experience with patent prosecution or transactional patent work is a plus
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple assignments
- Admission to the Texas Bar or ability to waive in
