About Us

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent role that will focus on a wide range of construction law matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes cases, providing legal guidance and representation for our clients in the construction industry. This role involves working on a variety of construction-related legal matters, including mechanic lien, payment bond, construction litigation, construction contracts, and design-build.

Job Details

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in the construction industry on a variety of issues, including mechanic lien, payment bond, construction contracts, and design-build.
  • Draft and negotiate complex construction contracts, including AIA agreements.
  • Handle construction litigation cases, including dispute resolution, claims, arbitration, and depositions.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and strategies in construction projects.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Stay updated on changes in construction law and advise clients accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best representation for our clients.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction attorney.
  • Proven track record in construction litigation and contract negotiation.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction law, including mechanic lien, payment bond, and design-build.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating AIA agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
