5+ Years (Texas Insurance Defense – 1st & 3rd Party Coverage)

Salary Range: $68,000 – $72,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys handling Texas insurance defense matters, including both first-party and third-party coverage cases
. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, knowledge of Texas court procedures, and the ability to manage case files from inception through trial preparation.

• Support attorneys in insurance defense litigation matters (1st and 3rd party claims)
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Manage and organize case files, medical records, and claim documentation
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation activities
• Review, summarize, and analyze medical and claim records
• Assist with e-filing in Texas state and federal courts
• Track case deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation including exhibit preparation and witness coordination

• Minimum 5+ years of Insurance Defense Paralegal experience
• Strong experience with Texas Insurance Defense litigation
• Experience handling First-Party and Third-Party Coverage cases
• Knowledge of Texas court rules and filing procedures
• Strong understanding of litigation lifecycle
• Excellent document management and organizational skills
• Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Paralegal Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working with insurance carriers or defense law firms
