Litigation Paralegal

Join one of the largest volume medical malpractice law firms in Texas as a Litigation Paralegal.We represent injured plaintiffs across Texas and surrounding states from our office in North Dallas. Our caseload is growing, and we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly contribute to getting justice for our injured clients.

Experience in personal injury or medical malpractice litigation is required.

• Draft pleadings and discovery;
• Ordering medical, imaging, and billing records;
• Reviewing medical records;
• Creating medical record chronologies and/or working with technology to create medical chronologies;
• Preparing Chapter 74 Notice of Claim letters;
• Ensuring expert witnesses have all necessary records;
• Assisting attorneys to prepare for depositions and trials;
• Communicating with clients;
• Calculating paid-or-incurred medical expenses for each case;
• Calendaring meetings and case deadlines;
• Scheduling depositions and mediations; and
• Identifying, disputing, negotiating, and settling liens.

• Excellent communication and organization abilities;
• Knowledge of The Bluebook and correct case citations;
• Basic knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Chapter 74 of the Civil Practice & Remedies Code;
• Experience using E-File system for Texas state courts; and
• Experience using case management software.
