Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents, including electronic filings (efiling).
  • Managing and maintaining attorneys' calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Conducting legal research and assisting in the preparation of case summaries and legal briefs.
  • Liaising with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
  • Organizing and maintaining case files and litigation databases.
  • Assisting in the preparation of litigation budgets and cost reports.
  • Providing general administrative support to the legal team, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, and managing office supplies.
  • Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a legal assistant with experience supporting commercial litigation in a law firm environment.
  • Proficiency in efiling and calendaring deadlines, with a strong understanding of court rules and procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and interpret complex legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research platforms.
