Job Title: Subrogation Paralegal
Location: Dallas, Texas (Onsite)
Salary Range: $68,000 – $75,000 annually
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Subrogation Paralegal to support attorneys in handling subrogation matters from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance subrogation processes, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with carriers, claims adjusters, and legal teams. This role requires the ability to manage high-volume caseloads while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in managing subrogation cases from file opening through settlement or litigation
- Review insurance policies, claims files, and investigative documents to identify recovery opportunities
- Draft legal documents including demand letters, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement documents
- Communicate with insurance carriers, adjusters, opposing counsel, and clients regarding case status
- Track lien and recovery documentation and maintain accurate case files
- Assist with discovery, document production, and medical record summaries when needed
- Coordinate with experts, investigators, and vendors
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
- Assist with trial preparation including exhibits, witness files, and case summaries
- Maintain case management system and update case notes regularly
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of Subrogation Paralegal experience
- Strong understanding of insurance subrogation laws and recovery processes
- Experience reviewing insurance policies and claims documentation
- Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in Texas insurance or legal environment
- Litigation support experience is a plus
