Job Title: Insurance Defense Paralegal

Location: Dallas, Texas (onsite)

Experience Required: 5+ Years (Texas Insurance Defense – 1st & 3rd Party Coverage)

Salary Range: $68,000 – $72,000 per year

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys handling Texas insurance defense matters, including both first-party and third-party coverage cases. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, knowledge of Texas court procedures, and the ability to manage case files from inception through trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in insurance defense litigation matters (1st and 3rd party claims)
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Manage and organize case files, medical records, and claim documentation
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation activities
• Review, summarize, and analyze medical and claim records
• Assist with e-filing in Texas state and federal courts
• Track case deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation including exhibit preparation and witness coordination

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Insurance Defense Paralegal experience
• Strong experience with Texas Insurance Defense litigation
• Experience handling First-Party and Third-Party Coverage cases
• Knowledge of Texas court rules and filing procedures
• Strong understanding of litigation lifecycle
• Excellent document management and organizational skills
• Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working with insurance carriers or defense law firms
• Trial preparation experience
