Vartabedian Katz Hester & Haynes LLP ("VKHH") is seeking a Paralegal within the Employment Practice Group in the Dallas office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of employment law matters. You will be instrumental in managing case files, drafting legal documents, and providing essential paralegal support to our attorneys. Position Summary
This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to client service. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys and legal staff and will have significant responsibility and visibility across active matters. Overtime may be required to meet firm, client, and court deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform electronic court filings in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
- Docket and calendar all case-related deadlines, hearings, and critical dates, monitor and track compliance.
- Establish, organize, and maintain pleadings, case files, trial notebooks, expert witness materials, document indexes, and exhibit lists.
- Receive, review, and process legal documents, including pleadings, court orders, contracts, and related materials.
- Review, index, outline, and summarize deposition transcripts and case documents.
- Provide administrative and substantive support for depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Assist attorneys with a variety of litigation and administrative tasks as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff regarding case status and required information.
- Ensure compliance with applicable court rules, legal procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized case records and documentation.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Paralegal certification preferred (BLS certification a plus).
- Prior litigation experience, preferably in Oil & Gas matters.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Ability to crouch, kneel, stand, walk, stoop, push, pull, and lift as necessary.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
- Ability to hear and understand detailed verbal instructions.
