The Dallas office of Holland & Knight has an immediate opportunity for a Tax associate with 5-7 years of big law firm experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in mergers and acquisitions including drafting and negotiating tax provisions in stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, partnership and joint venture agreements and loan agreements. Experience with cross-border tax structuring and International tax issues (inbound and outbound) is a plus.
The candidate must have an exceptional academic background, excellent writing skills, and the ability and desire to interface directly with clients and opposing counsel. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, a deep commitment to client service, community involvement and the ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize matters is essential. - Engage in cross-border tax structuring and address inbound and outbound international tax issues (plus is a plus).
- Interact directly with clients and opposing counsel; manage multiple matters with attention to detail.
- Maintain exceptional academic standards and professional ethics, supporting client service and teamwork.
- 5-7 years of big law firm experience (tax).
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions and drafting tax provisions in relevant agreements.
- Experience with cross-border and international tax issues is a plus.
- Exceptional academic background, excellent writing skills, and the ability to interface with clients and opposing counsel.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must reside in the Dallas, TX area or be willing to relocate; must be licensed or ready to become licensed to practice law in the state of practice.
