Position

Description:

Join us as the Supply Chain Communications Manager, where you will design and execute innovative communication strategies for the xPL Supply Chain organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth flow of information across various levels of the supply chain, fostering transparency and effective collaboration among internal teams and external partners.

Essential Duties &

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with the xPL Supply Chain organization's goals and project objectives to enhance information exchange.
  • Ensure compliance with established communication protocols and train both internal and external teams to understand the implications of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with site logistics teams and external partners to proactively manage supply chain disruptions, assessing processes and creating mitigation plans.
  • Enhance the xPL Operations Playbook by contributing valuable content and promoting understanding of its guidelines among teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology change management tools, including training and communication strategies for the launch of supply chain tools.
  • Track and analyze communication effectiveness, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure impact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster alignment and effective communication.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, propose solutions, and collaborate with project stakeholders to create actionable plans.
  • Stay updated on emerging supply chain technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and share insights with the team.
  • Lead a team by participating in the hiring process, onboarding new team members, and providing timely feedback, including contributions to performance reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Operations Management, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred, along with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience with implementing information technology applications in supply chain management is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of logistics management, supply chain technologies, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying root causes and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Infor, project 44).
  • Ability to interpret contracts and contractual obligations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in motivating teams and projects in a complex environment.
  • Supervisory or management experience with a focus on performance observation and feedback.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies to enhance process efficiency.

Physical Demands: This role may require the employee to sit, use hands for various tasks, view a computer monitor, and be mobile within different work settings, managing light lifting as needed.

Work Environment: The work environment is typically office-based, requiring compliance with company safety policies while promoting a quiet to moderate noise level.
