Position Overview
Counter Sales Representative – Dallas, TX (Airgas, an Air Liquide company).
Responsibilities- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and proper use of PPE.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners.
- Ensure accurate completion of required paperwork, coding, costing, and pricing.
- Partner with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their projects and demonstrate equipment use.
- Manage order entry and process transactions; assist with deposit reconciliation.
- Coordinate communication via phone, e‑mail, and in person to provide information on costs and delivery.
- Contribute to the outgoing call strategy to support branch growth.
- Coordinate transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating supportively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Stock shelves and maintain showroom displays to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (or an equivalent combination of education and life experience).
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
- Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
- Attention to detail in handling transactions.
- Availability for occasional overtime when needed by the team.
- Must be able to work in a drug‑free workplace.
- Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies.
- Familiarity with SAP, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Office applications.
- Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
- Clear, warm communication skills with a diverse range of customers.
