As a Global Operations Specialist, you will execute the shipment lifecycle for Ocean & Air shipments, ensure data integrity at the highest standard, and proactively minimize delays with urgency.
As a new team member in our North American Operations group, you will immerse yourself in our company culture and master world-class operations. There may be opportunities for future Fl exporters to contribute to new markets and gain international experience as Flexport grows.
You will- Be responsible for executing the movement of ocean and air freight shipments from booking at origin to final delivery at destination.
- Maintain communications with Flexport transportation and warehousing partners to facilitate shipment progress.
- Work and communicate cross-functionally within Flexport.
- Be part of frontline teams ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
- Use metrics to spot opportunities to improve and deliver great performance in your role.
- Own the data quality of client information by validating booked shipments, tracking shipment status, and validating shipment schedules.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet internal KPIs and SLAs in line with productivity goals.
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree OR 1+ year of relevant experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Team-centric mindset focused on delivering team and client outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel/Sheets.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- A compliance-first attitude to work in a heavily regulated industry.
