Construction Procurement Manager

Responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, budget support, and stakeholder engagement activities for complex capital programs and business initiatives. Partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop procurement strategies that support operational objectives, improve supplier performance, manage risk, and drive value across the organization. Provides guidance and support to team members while fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead competitive sourcing events and procurement initiatives for technical, professional, and project-based services.
• Support planning and execution activities through cost analysis, market intelligence, and procurement scheduling.
• Communicate procurement progress, strategic recommendations, and performance updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Analyze spending trends, supplier markets, and industry conditions to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost optimization, and value creation.
• Manage sourcing activities across multiple service and operational categories.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and best practices while promoting process improvements.
• Collaborate with business leaders and internal partners to align procurement strategies with organizational priorities.
• Develop and implement initiatives that improve service quality, operational effectiveness, and overall business performance.
• Evaluate commercial and operational risks, establish mitigation plans, and support continuity strategies.
• Lead category management and supplier relationship activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Develop sourcing strategies, facilitate supplier evaluations, and negotiate commercial agreements that balance value, performance, and risk.
• Manage contract development, administration, and supplier obligations throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Resolve supplier, contractual, and operational challenges through collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate supplier effectiveness, service delivery, and value realization.
• Conduct periodic supplier reviews and implement improvement initiatives when necessary.
• Ensure contractual commitments and negotiated outcomes are achieved.
• Facilitate business reviews, supplier meetings, and issue-resolution discussions.
• Partner with operational, financial, and project stakeholders to address escalations and improve business processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Support sourcing efforts for specialized products, services, and business-critical requirements.
