Procurement Manager - Facilities Management

As part of an ongoing commitment to operational excellence and business transformation, they are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities, develop supplier partnerships, and deliver commercial value across the organisation.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities, developing category strategies, and driving supplier performance across a diverse portfolio of spend.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting procurement transformation initiatives, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring commercial arrangements deliver both operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement and category strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead complex sourcing projects, tenders, supplier selection exercises, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage and negotiate high‑value contracts, ensuring commercial value and risk mitigation.
  • Drive cost optimisation, supplier consolidation, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Establish supplier performance frameworks, including KPI management, governance reviews, and service improvement plans.
  • Lead the procurement and commercial management of Modern Service Agreements (MSAs) and other strategic service‑based contracts.
  • Support the development of innovative service delivery models and outcome‑based commercial arrangements.
  • Work closely with operational, technical, finance, and leadership teams to understand business requirements and develop sourcing solutions.
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks whilst implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organisational governance, regulatory requirements, and procurement best practice.
  • Support procurement transformation programmes, including process improvement, policy development, systems optimisation, and supplier rationalisation.
  • Produce regular reporting on procurement performance, savings delivery, contract compliance, and supplier management activities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Procurement Manager, Senior Category Manager, Strategic Sourcing Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong track record of delivering procurement strategies, sourcing projects, and commercial savings.
  • Demonstrable experience negotiating and managing complex service contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Experience managing Modern Service Agreements (MSAs), outsourced service contracts, or performance‑based contractual arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of supplier relationship management and supplier performance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and analytical capability.
  • Experience working within a complex multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards qualification.
  • Lead procurement initiatives across soft services.
  • Experience with in facilities management, manufacturing, engineering, technology, infrastructure, defence, energy, or other technical organisations.
  • Exposure to procurement transformation, operating model redesign, or change programmes.
  • Understanding of outcome‑based contracting and strategic supplier partnership models.
