Ocean Import Coordinator | Dallas, TX | Salary up to $70,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage international ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs brokers, truckers, and customers.
  • Prepare and process all import documentation including Bills of Lading, Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, and invoices.
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to customers.
  • Arrange customs clearance and ensure compliance with CBP regulations.
  • Coordinate final delivery and resolve any shipment delays or issues.
  • Accurately enter shipment information into the company's freight forwarding system.
  • Invoice files promptly and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and overseas partners.
  • Ensure all files are completed accurately and closed within company KPIs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in ocean imports within an international freight forwarding company.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation and import procedures.
  • Experience handling shipments from A-Z.
  • Understanding of customs clearance processes and CBP regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Cargo Wise or another freight forwarding system is preferred.
