Procurement Coordinator

MV Transportation is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to support safe, reliable transit operations by managing day-to-day purchasing of parts, materials, and services. In this role, you'll source and evaluate vendors, obtain quotes, and process purchase orders to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery for our paratransit, fixed-route, shuttle, and student transportation services. You will track inventory, maintain vendor and contract records, and collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing of parts, materials, and services to support transportation operations
• Source and evaluate vendors, obtain quotes, and negotiate pricing within guidelines
• Create, track, and reconcile purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to prevent stockouts or delays
• Maintain vendor records, contracts, and procurement documentation
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and finance to align purchasing with service needs
• Track spend, prepare basic cost and usage reports, and identify savings opportunities
• Ensure adherence to MV Transportation procurement policies and relevant regulations
• Support bid processes and contract renewals as needed
• Contribute to a safety-first, customer-focused culture in all procurement activities
