Floral Assistant​/Cleaning & Shop

This is a hands-on, physically active support position inside a flower shop. This is not primarily a floral designer position.

A large part of this job involves cleaning, processing flowers, lifting and moving flower boxes and buckets, organizing supplies, receiving merchandise, maintaining work areas, and supporting our floral team.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, comfortable with physical work, and willing to help wherever needed.

• Process incoming roses and other fresh flowers
• Unpack and organize flower shipments and merchandise
• Lift, carry, fill, empty, and move flower buckets and boxes
• Clean and maintain floral processing and work areas
• Sweep, mop, remove trash, clean surfaces, and maintain general shop cleanliness
• Clean and organize coolers, storage areas, worktables, and supplies
• Restock floral materials and merchandise
• Prepare basic supplies for florists
• Assist florists with daily production and shop tasks
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace

• This is a physically demanding position.
• Applicants must be comfortable:
• Lifting and carrying 40 lbs or more repeatedly
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Bending, reaching, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
• Performing repetitive physical tasks
• Working with water, flower buckets, boxes, and floral debris
• Entering and working for periods of time inside refrigerated flower coolers
• Maintaining a consistent work pace throughout the day

• Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday availability is REQUIRED.

Our operating hours are generally between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and applicants should provide their complete weekly availability when applying.

Depending on availability and business needs, this position may be scheduled as part-time or full-time.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation to our Bedford, TX location
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable performing cleaning and physical labor
• Able to follow instructions and work efficiently
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience with physical work, warehouse work, cleaning, restaurants, production, floral processing, stocking, or similar work is a plus but not required
• English is not required. English or Spanish is welcome.
• Floral design experience is not required

Candidates who pass our initial screening will be invited to begin a paid evaluation and training period at $10/hour.

The first training day is scheduled on a Monday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The initial evaluation period lasts 7 working days and includes hands-on training and a basic theory portion related to the position.

Training materials are provided during the evaluation period, followed by an oral evaluation.

Candidates who successfully complete the practical and theory requirements will move into regular employment at a starting rate of $13/hour.

If additional training is needed before completing the requirements, the evaluation period may be extended in additional paid training periods at $10/hour.
