Description About the Role

MISA Imports is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee inventory movement and lifecycle tracking across our national distribution network, with a primary focus on inventory at our Dallas headquarters. This individual contributor role is critical to ensuring that wine and spirits inventory sourced from our global supplier network moves efficiently from receipt through to final delivery and acceptance by the end customer.

The Inventory Traffic Coordinator will serve as the central point of accountability for inventory visibility, working cross-functionally with procurement, warehouse operations, logistics, and sales & marketing teams, and reporting directly to the COO.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Monitoring & Control
  • Maintain real-time visibility into inventory levels, locations, and status across all branch and warehouse locations (CA, WA, AZ, TX, CO, WI, IL, LA, NY, DC, FL, and Bordeaux), with particular attention to HQ inventory in Dallas
  • Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving stock, and allocation status; flag risks proactively
  • Ensure inventory data integrity within Net Suite
Movement Planning & Tracking
  • Plan and coordinate inventory transfers between branches, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers based on demand, allocation, and replenishment needs
  • Track shipments end-to-end — from producer/import receipt, through intercompany transfers, to final delivery
  • Partner with logistics to plan around delays and disruptions
  • Coordinate with sales and forecasting teams supporting customer programs to ensure supply commitments are met
Order Fulfillment & Final Delivery
  • Own the process of confirming that inventory shipped to distributors, retail partners, or direct customers is ultimately received and accepted by the end customer
  • Work with sales, marketing, and delivery/route teams to track shipments through to final acceptance
Reporting
  • Produce regular inventory reports and KPIs (fill rate, inventory turns, shrinkage, on-time delivery) for the COO and other Senior Leadership
Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce shrinkage, improve turn rates, and increase forecasting accuracy
  • Support system enhancements and integrations related to inventory management within Net Suite
Requirements Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles, ideally within beverage alcohol, food/beverage distribution, or another regulated consumer goods industry
  • Experience with ERP systems required;
    Net Suite experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in inventory reporting and KPI tracking
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication skills — this role touches procurement, warehouse, logistics, sales, and marketing
  • Experience managing multi-location or multi‑state inventory operations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6‑12 months, the Inventory Manager will have established reliable, real‑time inventory visibility across all branches with strong command of HQ inventory specifically and will have built a repeatable cadence of reporting that gives the COO confidence in inventory reduction and movement from origin to end customer.
