Director Supply Chain
- North Texas Clinics (HTPN) plans, develops, and implements supply chain functions for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH). This includes supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, bio-medical services, vendor management, and technology. Develops and implements supply chain strategy, policies, and practices that meet service and quality standards. Manages total costs and aligns with BSWH business goals. Directs distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the organization.

Focuses on improving the flow of equipment, supplies, and materials through the BSWH supply chain. Directs studies on service efficiency, performance metrics, cost effectiveness, and benchmarks for planning and forecasting. Collaborates with leadership in procurement, logistics, finance, and other departments to improve supply chain management processes. Ensures compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements impacting BSWH supply chain programs.

A region Director translates and implements strategic plans and goals for their area. They make final judgments on operational matters and ensure goals are achieved. They recommend policies and organizational changes for their area. They plan and execute projects and initiatives that meet annual goals. They plan and direct the operations of a department or area, handling staffing, processes, budgets, and costs.

They guide and advise subordinates to meet schedules, resolve technical problems, and monitor performance. They oversee a larger, more complex organization or functional area than a manager. This position requires visiting clinics in-person across the DFW metroplex.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Serve as the primary supply chain liaison and trusted advisor for North Texas (HTPN) clinics.
  • Build strong relationships with operational, clinical, and physician stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain clinic formularies that support standardization and cost savings.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through responsive issue resolution and proactive communication.
  • Manages the cost examination of supply chain components. Recommends potential cost reductions and service enhancements to senior leadership for review.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings, utilization improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure contract compliance and adoption of system supply chain initiatives
  • Manages the development and implementation of standardized programs for supply chain functions. This includes master file standardization, inventory clean-up, and new technology integration.
  • Promotes quality improvement efforts for supplies and better techniques to control quality, reliability, and inventory accuracy.
  • Directs improvement initiatives for supply chain programs to implement best practices, improve workflows, and maximize efficiencies in the assigned area.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support across sourcing, procurement, and logistics.
  • Lead supply chain planning and execution for clinic builds, new service lines, expansions, and moves.
  • Manages monitoring and tracking of supply data.

Key Success Factors:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience supply chain, logistics, or related area.
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed hospital or healthcare system preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare supply chain, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Experience with executing supply chain operational, process, and improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional critical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain ERP systems, and current technologies.
