• Manage ocean import shipments from arrival through final delivery
• Coordinate bookings, arrivals, customs clearance, delivery and final documentation
• Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and import documentation
• Track shipments and provide customers with regular status updates
  
  Coordinate with steamship lines, customs brokers, truckers, overseas agents and customers
• Handle ISF filings and ensure import documentation is accurate and compliant
• Review and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays and delivery issues
• Communicate with overseas offices and agents to ensure smooth shipment coordination
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update the company's operating system
• Assist with billing, invoicing and closing files as required
• Provide a high level of customer service throughout the import process

• 2+ years of ocean import experience within a freight forwarding environment
• Strong knowledge of the ocean import process and documentation
• Knowledge of ISF, customs procedures and import compliance
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience with Cargo Wise or another freight forwarding system is preferred
