Under the direction of the Regional Director of Facilities Management, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems
- Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining clean and safe work areas
- Inspect and replace fixtures, filters, faucets, and valves as needed
- Support emergency preparedness, safety compliance, and disaster procedures
- Monitor for safety concerns and promptly address hazards
- Provide professional, courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors
- Participate in on‑call rotation at least one week per month
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital/healthcare facility or 2 years in facilities maintenance or construction
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
- Exposure to mechanical systems, electrical components, and varying temperatures
- On‑call availability required
