When fully operational, the 505,000-square-foot facility will house 292 beds – 200 for adult patients and 92 for children and adolescents. As DFW’s first state-funded behavioral health hospital, it is designed to deliver state‑of‑the‑art, patient‑centered care in a modern and healing environment. The center provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment and features private patient rooms, abundant access to natural light and nature, and thoughtfully designed spaces that promote recovery.

The Superintendent of Hospital Utilities is a key member of the hospital's leadership team, responsible for ensuring 24/7, safe operation of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water, and emergency backup systems.

As the Superintendent of Hospital Utilities
, you will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of campus Facilities Management systems, supervise operators who monitor and control building automation and energy management systems, respond to alarms, and dispatch maintenance staff. Coordinates maintenance activities, supports system troubleshooting, and ensures reliable utility operations with minimal disruption to campus services while maintaining high standards of work quality and customer service.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of seven (7) plus years of progressive experience in Facilities or Utilities Maintenance Management within a hospital, healthcare university institution, or academic research environment, including three (3) plus years experience in supervisory or higher-level leadership. Strong business acumen, project management expertise, and proven team leadership are required.
