Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Our newly delivered luxury office building is ready for an engineering team that will shape how it performs for years to come. As an Engineer reporting to the Chief Engineer, you’ll be the hands-on expert keeping HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems performing at their best, so every tenant walks into a space that is comfortable, reliable, and immaculate from the first meeting of the day to the last.
This is a role with real ownership: your systems, your work orders, your results, and the tenants who notice when it’s done right.
Whether you’re tuning a VAV zone that runs a little warm on the executive floor, working through start-up items with a commissioning agent, or getting a boardroom ready for an important presentation, your skills matter here. As a new property, there is a lot to build: a preventive maintenance program, equipment records, and a team that knows these systems inside and out.
At Rebees, engineers don’t just fix things. They protect the experience our tenants expect from a premium address. If you take pride in your craft, own your work from start to finish, and want to be part of a team that genuinely cares about the building it manages, this is where you belong.
- Keep the building’s systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably, with the polish a luxury office property demands.
- Carry out preventive maintenance programs on schedule, as directed by the Chief Engineer, so issues are caught before tenants feel them.
- Respond to tenant requests and building emergencies with urgency, professionalism, and clear follow-through.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activity, work orders, and equipment service history, including as-built documentation for the building’s new systems.
- Partner with the Chief Engineer and the property management team to advance property and company goals.
- Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC (including chilled water, air handling, and VAV systems), electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation (BAS) systems.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (filters, belts, coils, lubrication, inspections) per the building’s PM program.
- Monitor building systems throughout the day. Spot irregularities early so they never become tenant-impacting failures.
- Conduct routine rounds and inspections; document conditions and escal deficiencies to the Chief Engineer promptly.
- Support start-up, commissioning, and closeout activities, including punch-list items, and track warranty periods and warranty claims with contractors and equipment manufacturers.
- Keep equipment logs, maintenance records, and work order documentation accurate and on time.
- Respond to tenant work orders promptly and professionally: diagnose the issue, resolve it, and close the loop.
- Communicate clearly throughout the process. Set expectations, provide updates, and confirm satisfaction when the job is done.
- Work with the property management team to schedule repairs and tenant improvement work around business hours, minimizing disruption to tenant operations.
- Support after-hours on-call rotations and respond to building emergencies as needed, including assisting with emergencies elsewhere on the property when called upon.
- Coordinate and escort third-party contractors working in the building.
- Make sure contractor work is performed safely, correctly, and in line with RMC standards and building requirements.
- Raise any contractor concerns or quality issues with the Chief Engineer right away.
- Help test, inspect, and maintain fire suppression, alarm, and emergency lighting systems: the systems that protect everyone in the building.
- Follow safety protocols,…
