Position SummaryGoodwill is seeking a passionate and results-driven Manager of Workforce Readiness to lead Goodwill’s team of Success Coaches and the first two phases of Goodwill’s service delivery model, the Opportunity Accelerator
:
- Phase I – Assess & Plan:
Evaluate clients’ work experience, identify barriers to employment, and assess digital skills. - Phase II – Equip & Connect:
Link clients with job training, career preparation resources, and wraparound support services that prepare them for meaningful employment.
This role will report to the Director of Workforce Development and requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about helping people overcome barriers to work, excels at motivating teams, and is skilled in cultivating nonprofit partnerships that expand Goodwill’s reach and strengthen our client pipeline. The Workforce Readiness Manager will play a vital role in advancing Goodwill’s mission of empowering people with barriers through job training and employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Success Coaches and frontline staff delivering Phase I and II Career Services.
- Ensure clients receive high-quality assessments, personalized career plans, and access to digital literacy tools.
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service where every client feels respected, encouraged, and supported.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, ensuring milestones are met on the path to job readiness.
- Program Oversight & Execution
- Oversee daily operations of Phase I and II within the Opportunity Accelerator Model.
- Establish and maintain service delivery standards, ensuring alignment with Goodwill’s mission and best practices in workforce development.
- Use data and outcomes to continuously improve program delivery and client success.
- Hold team accountable and foster a spirit of collaboration, integrity, and service.
- Build and manage relationships with nonprofit, community, and training partners to strengthen referral pipelines.
- Collaborate with external organizations to expand access to job training, support services, and digital upskilling opportunities.
- Represent Goodwill Dallas in community workforce and nonprofit coalitions.
- Track and report on program outcomes, including client assessments, training enrollments, and job readiness metrics.
- Support grant compliance and reporting requirements as needed.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, public affairs or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in workforce development, career services, or related nonprofit leadership.
- Demonstrated success managing teams and motivating staff to achieve outcomes.
- Strong partnership development and relationship management skills.
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating an empowering client experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools and comfort with data-driven program management.
