Salary: $100,000 – $115,000 base (based on experience) About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to take full ownership of client relationships and lifecycle management within a growing Managed Services organization. This is not a junior account role and not a quota-carrying sales position. This role is built for an MSP-seasoned professional who can confidently manage renewals, clean up accounts, recommend upgrades, and help mature how account management operates across the business.
This position exists to remove account management burden from leadership and replace it with a scalable, repeatable, high-trust lifecycle motion. You’ll work closely with ownership and service leadership while acting as the senior standard-bearer for account management.
MSP experience is required.
What You’ll Be Doing- Own a portfolio of MSP client accounts end-to-end, acting as the primary point of contact
- Lead renewals, agreement management, seat changes, and contract adjustments autonomously
- Ensure accounts are clean, accurate, and well-documented in Connect Wise Manage
- Identify and confidently recommend upgrades across security, standardization, users, and projects
- Explain technical value clearly and close upgrades without heavy oversight
- Improve and mature account management processes rather than simply following existing ones
- Act as the internal leader for account management, setting the bar for professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through
- Partner with service leadership and engineering to ensure client needs are executed properly
- 3+ years of MSP experience in a Technical Account Manager, vCIO, Client Success, or Account Management role
- Strong hands-on experience with Connect Wise Manage (required)
- Proven success owning renewals, agreements, and account upgrades independently
- Ability to clean up messy or inherited accounts and bring structure and clarity
- Strong understanding of MSP services (not just hardware and licensing)
- Comfortable discussing and recommending security, compliance, and managed service offerings
- Polished, professional communication with clients and internal teams
- Highly responsive with strong follow-through and ownership mindset
- Entrepreneurial approach — able to think on your feet, make decisions, and add process when needed
- Experience with Quoter
- Exposure to Halo PSA (or involvement in PSA transitions)
- Background selling projects, renewing agreements, or upselling security/compliance services
