Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee and direct all on-site electrical operations for commercial construction projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex
. Wastewater treatment plant experience is strongly preferred.

This role serves as the primary on-site leader for electrical field activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance. The Electrical Superintendent supervises field crews and subcontractors while coordinating daily operations with other trades and maintaining full compliance with safety and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Assist in developing and managing project schedules and budgets
  • Track project progress to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
  • Complete weekly unit tracking, 12-week look-ahead schedules, daily reports, and weekly checklists
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with local building codes, NEC standards, and OSHA regulations
  • Conduct routine site inspections and maintain a safe work environment
  • Enforce company safety policies, including “Zero Hot Work” standards
  • Maintain current OSHA 30 certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire at company expense)
Technical Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to field teams
  • Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project specifications
  • Review plans and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
Team & Subcontractor Coordination
  • Supervise electricians and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe execution
  • Coordinate scheduling with other trades and resolve field conflicts promptly
  • Manage performance, provide direction, and ensure accountability across crews
  • Lead multiple crews of 15+ personnel
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Create daily and weekly progress reports
  • Maintain organized project records and clear project histories
Procurement & Planning
  • Submit timely material and equipment requests
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure proper pricing and avoid unnecessary delivery costs
  • Support continuous project planning and preplanning initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience
  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License (required)
  • 5–10 years of experience in commercial electrical construction
  • Experience on large-scale projects exceeding $5,000,000
  • Proven experience supervising multiple crews (15+ personnel)
  • Wastewater or water treatment facility experience preferred
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Degree in construction management or related field preferred
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, building codes, and electrical safety standards
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Bluebeam
