** Job Summary
** The Senior Director of Facilities Construction will lead the planning, execution, and oversight of capital and deferred maintenance construction projects across multiple Dallas College campuses. The Senior Director must be a professional leader with a demonstrated history of managing large-scale construction initiatives, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with institutional goals.

The Senior Director will ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Dallas College Board of Trustees laws, regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the construction lifecycle.##
** Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Knowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision of Dallas College.
* Proven track record managing large-scale construction projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout. Experience in higher education or public sector environments is valued.
* Extensive knowledge of electrical, HVAC, fire safety, plumbing, building envelope and building automation systems.
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design intent, building codes, and project requirements.
* Experience with procurement methods to include cooperative purchases, formal bids, RFPs and RFQs.
* Demonstrated experience in integrating energy management, sustainability practices, and recycling strategies into construction project specifications and execution.
* Demonstrated experience utilizing project management software to oversee the full construction project lifecycle and maintain accurate documentation for reference and reporting.
* Ability to administer construction project budgets and establish, monitor, and enforce fiscal accountability across all phases of capital development and infrastructure initiatives.
* Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond appropriately to issues in a rapidly changing educational/economic environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, complex ideas, and information to a variety of stakeholders/constituents within the Dallas College community network.
* Proven ability to manage and coordinate internal staff, external consultants, and contractors to ensure effective collaboration, accountability, and successful delivery of construction projects.##

** Minimum Requirements
*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field is required.  + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.  + Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or Master’s degree is preferred.
* Ten (10) years of related experience, with eight (8) years upper-level supervisory experience.
* Demonstrated experience in facilities management planning and construction, fiscal management, resource allocation and personnel supervision.
* Official transcript will be required.
* Must have the ability to maintain the security and integrity of the critical infrastructure of Dallas College.
* Experience working with underserved and marginalized communities.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from the full range of diverse populations.
* Demonstrated success working with diverse communities.
* Experience developing and implementing [programs, services, and/or courses] that are designed to meet the needs of the increasingly diverse college community.
