The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Development will act as an influential leader providing strategic and analytical support to the operations function. Serving as a key business partner, the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Development will conduct analyses, synthesize key insights, and provide practical recommendations informing decision‑making across the function.

This role will have direct leadership accountability for (3) areas: strategy development (sourcing, T&W, planning), business case design (structure, analysis, recommendation) and project management (coordination, communication, delivery).

Job Components Strategy Development
  • Design and maintain both near‑term and long‑term strategy for Interstate supply chain
  • Identify and execute actionable insights that enable financial objectives through operational analyses, competitive intelligence, and industry research
  • Deliver compelling business cases and storylines to ensure latest recommendations are understood and implemented.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analyses or studies to answer key hypotheses pertaining to strategic opportunities
Business Case Design
  • Generate fact‑based assessments and operational prioritization to guide leadership decision‑making
  • Engage cross‑functional teams to ensure appropriate analysis and approach to the problem or opportunity
  • Highlight cost‑benefit, effort required, options evaluated, risks and mitigating tactics
  • Package and deliver impactful presentations that synthesize complex information into a succinct, but robust picture for leadership
Project Management
  • Coordinate workstream activities with all stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work product
  • Lead internal communication of project status to promote visibility, risks, and expected outcomes
  • Execute to and through the deliverable, post‑project follow‑ups, hand‑offs, and document management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience across management consulting, CPG, and/ or distribution
  • People leadership experience preferred, track record of developing and motivating teams
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual problem‑solving skills translating data into actionable insights with a path to implementation
  • Excellent communication / presentation skills with the ability to explain difficult concepts succinctly
Scope Data:
  • Provide leadership for a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and regular performance feedback
  • Build cross‑functional relationships across the enterprise and at all levels
  • Must be able to lead in a “Team oriented” environment and develop future leaders through coaching and talent development
Work Environment:
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged use of computer & telephone.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
