TITLE:Assistant Club Director
- Part Time PROFILE SOURCE:PT Management Professional DEPARTMENT:Club & Program Operations REPORTS TO:Club Director □Exempt
XNon-Exempt PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reporting to the Club Director, the Assistant Club is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and programmatic direction at a designated Club location in line with organizational mission and goals. The Assistant Club Director Manages/Coaches/Facilitates/Coordinates programs and high quality and impactful service delivery, Training of staff, parent & school relations, and membership attendance & participation.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Leadership
- Ensure an environment, program services, and facilities that prepare youth for Success
- Communicate agency’s vision, mission and principles to members, businesses, and greater community
- Ensure a productive and safe work Environment for staff and members
- Supervise the performance of assigned staff
- Implement administrative and operational systems within policy and Procedures
- Ensure quality improvement in areas identified in BGCD Model Club Initiative
- Ensure quality program implementation outcomes that exceed expectations
- Ensure Annual, Quarterly, and Weekly Plans are implemented for the purpose of excellence.
- Assist with recruitment, selection, and identification of highly qualified staff
- Support Club Director with maintaining cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of facilities and grounds
- Purchase and/or plan to ensure necessary materials for program activities
- Ensure immediate repairs of Club equipment/grounds/vehicles are reported to Club Director
- Ensure Program Training, Planning, Implementation and Program Evaluation on all required Programs
- Provide staff with professional development, ongoing feedback, and opportunities for improvement
- Emphasize staff efforts around the outcome driven club experience and demonstrate targeted results on requested reports
- Maintain membership and program participation expectations
- Utilize Guidance and Discipline Plan to assist members with conflict resolution
- Document and report incidents
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist with conflict resolution.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
REQUIRED:
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred
- A minimum of three years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff
- Ability to guide members, including leadership with conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders
- Ability to become a certified driver for the organization
