The Orders to Cash (OTC) Director is responsible for the organization’s strategic vision and optimization of the end-to-end cash process across post-billing process areas. The Director will provide strategic oversight and directional insight to ensure the effectiveness, resilience, and scalability of global OTC functions—including invoicing and billing, collections and cash application, and contract close out—while championing a customer service mindset that drives satisfaction and trust.
Responsibilities include coordinating with Business Areas on service levels, metrics, trends and working capital improvement opportunities, promoting operational consistency across billing and collections, and governing customer master data quality through enrichment, deduplication, and maintenance. The role monitors DFAS and Non DFAS billings, cash application and AR reconciliation across multiple systems, serves as the escalation point for critical customer communications and unresolved receivables, and leverages data, analytics, and performance metrics to inform executive decisions on cash inflows, DSO, dispute trends.
The leader delivers executive level reporting on trends, risks, service performance, and improvement opportunities, applies predictive analytics and benchmarking for long term planning, and defines OTC performance metrics, reporting standards, and insight priorities. In partnership with Legal, Tax, and Contracts, the incumbent establishes global governance frameworks, standards, and policies that ensure compliance internal controls and regulatory requirements, overseeing audits, controls testing, and KPI reporting to safeguard billing accuracy.
Acting as the primary OTC advisor to the CFO and senior executives, the leader defines and drives the OTC vision and roadmap aligned with finance transformation, system modernization, and corporate values, steering innovation, automation, standardization, and advanced technology adoption, including the 1
LMX billing transformation. The role also partners with FP&A, HR, Procurement, IT, Supply Chain, Treasury, Contracts and Business Areas to integrate OTC strategy with broader objectives, sponsors system enhancements and analytics capabilities, develops senior leaders within the OTC organization, and cultivates a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and compliant AI driven automation.
- Knowledge of Gov’t processes and policies associated with Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Cash Applications, Contract Closeouts and Fixed Assets.
- Functional experience in a Shared Services environment
- Familiarity with digital/business transformation and the 1
LMX initiative - LM Business Area experience / Broad Finance & Business Operations experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of automation, Continuous improvement and AI use cases
- Demonstrated experience partnering with DFAS, DCMA and DCAA
