Overview

The Mission Critical Project Manager serves as Tri Celta Development’s on-site and project-facing leader for mission critical developments, including large-scale data centers and technical infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for driving execution excellence, schedule certainty, quality control, and field-level risk mitigation while acting as the Owner’s trusted advocate throughout construction, commissioning, and turnover.

The Project Manager operates with a field-first mindset, maintaining constant alignment between the Owner, OR, General Contractor, and trade partners to ensure work is executed correctly the first time and project risk is actively managed rather than reacted to.

Core Responsibilities Field & Construction Leadership
  • Act as the primary on-site representative for the Owner, reinforcing accountability, urgency, and disciplined execution with the General Contractor and all trade partners.
  • Lead daily field walks to proactively identify constructability issues, logistical conflicts, sequencing risks, and safety concerns before they impact schedule or cost.
  • Validate that construction activities comply with contract documents, approved submittals, and mission critical quality standards.
Schedule & Productivity Management
  • Monitor and verify daily and weekly progress against the GC’s Primavera P6 schedule, confirming that activities start and finish as planned.
  • Implement and track labor productivity and installed-quantity metrics (e.g., conduit, piping, cable, welds, terminations) and escalate deviations immediately.
  • Lead weekly look-ahead planning reviews, ensuring labor, materials, equipment, and access constraints are fully resolved.
  • Collaborate with the GC to develop recovery or acceleration plans when schedule performance deviates from plan.
Quality Management
  • Perform daily inspections and document non-conforming work, ensuring timely correction without downstream impacts.
  • Participate in first-in-place reviews for critical mission critical systems to establish quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party testing and inspection activities, confirming results are complete, accurate, and promptly communicated.
Risk & Safety Oversight
  • Identify near-term and forward-looking field risks including weather impacts, trade stacking, material delays, and access conflicts.
  • Champion a world-class safety culture through daily engagement, safety walks, and active participation in GC-led safety programs.
  • Ensure behavioral-based safety principles are consistently applied across the site.
Reporting & Owner Communication
  • Provide concise daily field reports including progress, labor counts, safety observations, quality issues, and emerging risks.
  • Deliver weekly metrics packages covering productivity, milestone status, critical path activities, and top field risks.
  • Support OR and executive-level reporting by providing clear, factual, and field-validated data.
  • Participate in OAC, coordination, and executive meetings prepared to speak confidently to field conditions and mitigation strategies.
Commissioning & Close-Out Support
  • Drive system-by-system mechanical completion in coordination with GC, trades, and commissioning agents.
  • Act as the on-site coordinator during commissioning, startup, and integrated systems testing.
  • Aggressively manage punch list execution to avoid commissioning or turnover delays.
  • Support closeout documentation efforts including as-builts, O&Ms, warranties, and turnover packages.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mission critical construction management and/or project controls, with a strong emphasis on data center environments
    .
  • General Contractor experience preferred
, particularly in complex or fast-track delivery models.
  • Demonstrated mission critical project experience
, including technical systems, commissioning coordination, and schedule-driven execution.
  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Strong construction and/or project controls background with the ability to manage by metric, not anecdote.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of interfacing with Owners, executives, contractors, and field teams.
  • 100% dedicated to the assigned project for the full contracted duration.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working as an Owner’s Representative or embedded with Owner teams.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6, ACC/BIM platforms, and field reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to anticipate risk and lead difficult conversations early to protect Owner outcomes.
  • Calm, decisive leadership style suited for high-pressure mission critical environments.
