1-800 Plumber +AIR of Dallas is a growing plumbing company that focuses primarily on residential and commercial service, expanding into HVAC services this year. We are strengthening our operational leadership to support our next phase of scale. The Director of Operations will focus on execution, accountability, and financial performance.

The Director of Operations will build and lead the operational engine of the company. This is not a sales-focused General Manager role. This is a disciplined operator role responsible for strengthening structure, improving margin performance, and reducing owner dependence.

• Own and manage weekly KPI scorecards
• Run structured operational meetings (EOS-style preferred)
• Enforce performance standards across field and office teams
• Protect and improve gross margin
• Improve estimate turnaround and close rate consistency
• Increase technician utilization and accountability
• Support HVAC launch operationally
• Reduce owner involvement in daily decision-making

• KPI scorecard fully implemented and reviewed weekly
• Estimate turnaround time stabilized within target window
• Margin visibility improved and performance stabilized or trending upward
• Clear accountability structure installed
• Owner no longer primary operational decision layer

• 5+ years leading operations in a field-service or trades business
• Demonstrated P&L ownership
• Strong financial literacy and KPI discipline
• Comfortable leading skilled trade teams
• DISC Assessment Profile - High D / High C behavioral profile preferred
• Plumbing/HVAC experience helpful but not required
