$130,000 – $170,000 base salary range
Blayze Group is partnering with a leading Texas based general contractor to appoint a Senior Project Manager delivering K to 12 education projects across the Dallas Fort Worth market. My client has a long standing presence in public sector construction and is recognised for delivering complex education facilities for school districts and institutional clients through repeat work and disciplined execution.
The business operates exclusively on the general contracting side and maintains a consistent pipeline of ground up schools, campus expansions, and phased renovation projects. This role sits within the senior project delivery structure and carries full responsibility for project budgets, schedules, administration, and team leadership, often within live or partially occupied campus environments.
Direct K to 12 construction experience is essential.
The Role:- Lead the delivery of K to 12 ground up and renovation projects from preconstruction through completion
- Manage relationships with school districts, architects, consultants, end users, and subcontractors
- Oversee preconstruction services including constructability reviews and design phase budget development
- Coordinate project turnover from estimating, including subcontractor buyout, scope review, and contract preparation
- Prepare, manage, and maintain full project budgets, schedules, and cost to complete forecasts
- Develop and update project schedules in coordination with the Project Superintendent
- Review and manage all submittals, shop drawings, and approvals for contract compliance
- Monitor testing reports and address non compliant results in coordination with the project team
- Manage change order pricing, documentation, approval, and distribution
- Lead project meetings, reporting, and coordination with all stakeholders
- Oversee permitting, inspections, quality control, safety compliance, and site standards
- Manage monthly owner pay applications and subcontractor payment approvals
- Lead project close out including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation
- Mentor and support Project Managers and Project Engineers within the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 7 years experience in construction project management with a general contractor
- Clear and recent experience delivering K to 12 education construction projects
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement, school construction logistics, and phased delivery
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and stakeholder expectations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence operating at client level
Candidates without direct K to 12 construction experience should not expect alignment.
Why This Opportunity:This is an opportunity to join a well established contractor with a stable education focused workload and long standing district relationships. The business offers long term project visibility, a structured operating environment, and leadership that values consistency and accountability. For Senior Project Managers focused on K to 12 construction, this role offers career longevity, credibility in the market, and a clear pathway toward senior operational leadership.
