Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Management Trainee – Leasing. The role is designed to develop the skills and talents required to provide quality transportation solutions to our commercial customers and to prepare candidates for future leadership positions within MHC Truck Leasing.
Training and skill development will be hands‑on focused in the rental and leasing areas. The trainee will coordinate rental activities in accordance with proper procedures, support sales, and drive new sales opportunities for all product lines. They may assist in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the efforts of the Rental Department, with the goal of becoming qualified for a Rental Manager position.
- Prepare sales proposals for new and existing rental customers; leads may be generated by direct mailers, in‑person cold calls, and rental solicitation calls.
- Manage the location fleet and execute rental contracts to meet daily reservations; work closely with the Service Department to ensure consistent customer communication.
- Make weekly sales/telesales prospecting calls.
- Ensure all branch units have the required licenses, permits, and identification to operate legally and timely, preventing lost revenue.
- Timely collect, audit, and prepare driver trip records related to rental units in accordance with procedure.
- Check in and out rental trucks, conduct daily lot checks, and ensure the fleet is ready and presentable to potential customers.
- Complete rental reports and billing daily and when scheduled, obtain current mileage, and receive written approval when estimates are quoted.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel.
