Overview

HjR Solutions is partnering with a leading construction planning and project controls consultancy specializing in complex, high-value construction programs. The organization supports owners and contractors across commercial, infrastructure, and mission‑critical projects, with particular expertise in data center developments. Known for its expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling, forensic schedule analysis, and collaborative project planning, the firm partners closely with project teams to drive proactive planning, risk management, and successful project delivery.

Location

Opportunities are available across several U.S. locations (not just in Dallas, TX). Project assignment will be aligned based on candidate location and business needs. Candidates should be open to travel and on‑site engagement as required.

Role Overview

The Scheduling Manager will play a key role supporting complex mission‑critical and commercial construction programs. This role combines advanced technical expertise in CPM scheduling and Primavera P6 with responsibility for owning schedule strategy, driving execution alignment, and influencing project outcomes across projects. The position requires regular interaction with senior leadership and client stakeholders, ensuring schedule transparency, alignment, and proactive risk management throughout the lifecycle of major construction programs.

This individual will also help mentor junior schedulers and contribute to building a scalable scheduling function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of fully logic‑driven CPM baseline schedules in Primavera P6, built from the ground up and aligned to contract and execution strategy
  • Manage and oversee schedule updates, progress tracking, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with key project milestones
  • Serve as the primary scheduling lead and point of contact for project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Facilitate and lead schedule coordination and review meetings, presenting schedule status, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Partner closely with senior leadership and client stakeholders, providing strategic input on schedule performance and project planning decisions
  • Represent the scheduling function in discussions with client leadership, communicating schedule impacts, risks, and recovery strategies
  • Identify and analyze critical path, float, and schedule risks, advising on mitigation and execution strategies
  • Lead schedule recovery planning, compression strategies, and scenario analysis when project timelines are at risk
  • Support and coordinate forensic schedule analysis, delay evaluations, and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) as required
  • Mentor and guide junior schedulers and project team members, helping elevate scheduling standards and consistency across projects
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 (required)
  • Strong experience with CPM scheduling, critical path analysis, and schedule logic development
  • Demonstrated ability to build baseline schedules from scratch (not just maintain schedules)
  • Experience supporting mission‑critical, data center, or complex commercial construction projects
  • Background in vertical construction
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions with project teams and senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of vertical construction scheduling or project controls experience
  • Experience leading or mentoring scheduling teams or project controls professionals
  • Prior experience in a client‑facing or consulting environment
  • Experience supporting large‑scale, fast‑track construction programs
  • Familiarity with tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Compensation
  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Relocation support available if required by project assignment
  • Revenue share opportunity tied to project success and client engagement
