The position requires a hands‑on leader who can supervise, coach, and support staff while also stepping in to assist with clinic operations as needed. Responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and resolving employee and client concerns. The Manager also ensures compliance with protocols, maintains inventory and budget control, and promotes a safe, clean environment for animals, staff, and clients.

In addition to administrative duties, this role may involve veterinary technician tasks such as patient intake, surgical monitoring, and medication handling. The Manager serves as the primary communication link between leadership and clinic staff, ensuring clarity, consistency, and teamwork.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a high‑stress environment
  • Experience with scheduling, employee relations, and process improvement
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Veterinary or animal care experience (preferred)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing clinic operations, staff, and scheduling
  • Hiring, training, and evaluating employees
  • Managing budgets, inventory, and reporting
  • Ensuring quality care and humane treatment of animals
  • Handling client service issues and staff relations
  • Supporting clinic goals, safety programs, and organizational mission

This role requires flexibility, physical activity (including lifting up to 40 lbs), and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with regular exposure to animals and clinical conditions.

  • Education: To educate pet owners and the public on responsible pet care
  • Diversity: To serve people of all races and ethnicity.
  • Compassion: To build humane communities and improve the lives of animals.
  • Integrity: To deliver high‑quality, low‑cost spay/neuter services to low‑income families.
  • Accessibility: To bring spay/neuter services to neighborhoods in need.
  • Responsibility: To reduce the intake and euthanasia of dogs and cats at local shelters.
  • Community‑based: To be a community resource on responsible pet care for communities in North Texas.
