Job SummaryThe Vault Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Precious Metals operation in Dallas, supervision of vault team, retention, employee training and development, safety programs, and promotion of all corporate goals and objectives. This position works with the General Manager to ensure customers are appropriately serviced at all times and closely with the BGS Operations Team to support related Export/Import/Domestic transportation activities.
The role operates in an armed environment and requires enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink’s and its customers.
- Support the General Manager in providing leadership necessary to organize market logistics and aggressively develop a product-driven organization.
- Lead the team to adapt quickly during transitions, ensuring effective use of partnerships/resources for receiving, dispatching, organization, inventory management, and security processes.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the Vault Operational team.
- Handle staffing requirements and scheduling to meet daily needs.
- Coach and provide leadership to Supervisors and Leads.
- Ensure adherence to Brink’s standards, processes, and procedures for vault check‑in/out, facility opening/closing, and vault integrity.
- Drive employee productivity and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual audits of inventory.
- Manage KPIs, including labor, quality, SOP adherence, and other business measurements.
- Identify ways to improve cost management and improve margins.
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships to keep the market efficient and value‑oriented.
- Proactively reduce risk exposure and implement measures to reduce workers’ compensation injury costs and security losses.
- Minimum of three years supervising or managing a group of logistics professionals in secured logistics activities.
- Minimum of five years of experience in logistics in a high‑touch customer‑facing role and/or handling shipments through a logistics lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements.
- Valid guard card or ability to obtain required licenses.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in a customer‑focus environment.
- Experience in precious metals storage, freight forwarding/transportation, or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement methodologies.
- Understanding and ability to create productivity metrics.
- Audit and key control compliance skills.
