As a Diagnostic District Sales Manager, you will lead a high performing, field‑based team responsible for driving the success of our clients’ laboratory diagnostic test across the sales organization. In this role, you’ll partner with a healthcare company focused on commercializing early cancer detection tests to expand market presence, influence clinical decision‑making, and deliver meaningful impact for providers, health systems, and patients.
You will set a strategic direction for your district by developing and executing sales and marketing plans, consistently achieving—and exceeding—sales targets and key operational objectives. Reporting to the National Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in hiring, training, coaching, and developing a team equipped to succeed in complex, consultative diagnostic selling environments.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a highly performing diagnostic sales team, strengthening individual capabilities and elevating overall performance
- Develop and implement comprehensive business plans that support organizational sales and revenue objectives
- Ensure consistent execution of call plans by monitoring district performance against key metrics and driving accountability across the team
- Ensure administrative project activities are accurate, timely, and compliant
- Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred
- 10+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience with a strong record of performance
- 3+ years of experience as a district or regional first‑line sales manager
- Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
Laboratory diagnostics or medical device - Gastroenterology experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated history of consistent sales success and achievement of performance goals
- Ability to meet travel expectations, including approximately 70% field time and additional overnight or weekend travel as needed
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills, especially in project planning, project implementation, and change management
- Ability to multi‑task and maintain prioritization of key projects and deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
