About the RoleThe Transition & Activation Manager is responsible for planning and executing healthcare facility activation, operational readiness, and occupancy transitions while supporting construction project delivery activities as needed. This role bridges capital project delivery and operational turnover, ensuring facilities, departments, staff, and systems are prepared for safe and successful go live events. The position supports clinical/operational activation phases, allowing flexible deployment across service lines depending on workload.
Responsibilities- Transition & Activation Delivery
- Develop and manage facility activation schedules, integrated with construction turnover milestones.
- Coordinate departmental readiness planning, including move sequencing, training timelines, equipment install readiness, and space validation.
- Lead move management planning, staging logistics, vendor coordination, and go-live execution support.
- Track and manage activation risks, issues, and dependencies using structured project controls.
- Facilitate readiness meetings with clinical leadership, IT, facilities, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Support regulatory readiness including occupancy readiness checklists and operational compliance coordination.
- Schedule coordination with general contractors and owner’s reps.
- Construction turnover planning and close-out documentation tracking.
- FF&E and owner-furnished equipment coordination.
- Substantial completion readiness activities.
- Occupancy readiness coordination with facilities teams.
- Project Controls & Reporting
- Maintain integrated master schedules spanning construction close-out through activation.
- Develop project dashboards for schedule, risks, milestones, and readiness status.
- Support activation budgets, cost tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare executive and client-facing progress reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Healthcare Related Field, Architecture, Business, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare project delivery, activation, transition planning, or healthcare construction management.
- Experience working with hospitals, clinics, MOBs, or healthcare campus expansions.
- Strong scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and project reporting tools.

Pay starts at $90,000 and varies by experience level and skills.
