Fox Trot Aviation Services is seeking a consistently hard-working 3rd Shift Senior Operations Manager based at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) who is committed to reliable quality service, cost management, and building a rock steady team.
The Senior Working Operations Manager is accountable for upholding rigorous safety standards across all assigned locations in alignment with the Fox Trot standard. This role demands a hands‑on leadership presence, including regular site visits, direct oversight of operational safety practices, and the facilitation of educational forums and proactive training initiatives. The SOM will partner closely with the Safety/Training Department to ensure every team member is fully trained and demonstrably proficient across all safety competencies.
Beyond safety leadership, the SOM directs the full scope of operational performance – including scheduling, staffing, administrative functions, equipment readiness, client relationship management, and the achievement of financial targets. The SOM is responsible for driving operational excellence, enforcing compliance with company policies and procedures, and delivering on revenue and labor objectives that support the broader business strategy.
1-3 years management or supervisory experience preferred, willingness to perform very physical work, and open schedule availability.
Quality Service Responsibilities- Lead cabin cleanings to a very high level of detail in the cockpit, galley, lavatory, and passenger seating area
- Cleaning the exteriors of aircraft
, sometimes outside and in inclement weather - Lead nightly deep cleaning inside airport environment including terminal seating areas, bathrooms, breakrooms, office spaces, lounges, etc. Requires traveling to Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE) at least twice a week during the night shift.
- Ensure quality control by performing cabin walks on every aircraft to the checklist standard
- Organize the team to maximize each labor hour and clean most effectively
- Ensure safety is upheld to the highest standards during all operations
Success metric: high cabin scores and high internal and external quality audit scores.
Cost Metrics Responsibilities- Ensure a weekly and monthly staff schedule (from 5 to 15 team members) which aligns with Fox Trot labor metrics
- Ensure the team has enough hours at work to retain them
- Keep full records of badging compliant with airport rules
- Fill out HIT forms as hazards are identified
- Complete online forms and upload signed do lists throughout the night
- Take stock inventory and place orders with the logistics manager
Success metrics:
1) 100% closeout form, checklist, and debrief form compliance;
2) Labor metric adherence within tolerances on the pulse sheet.
- Maintain positive, daily communication with the team
- Set elevation goals (development plans) for each team member with the help of leadership
- Train team members in quality work, checklist use, and safety
- Work with the back office to post ads, interview and hire team members based on GRIT, Solidarity, Client Focus, Safety, and Accountability; ensure timely badging and onboarding
- Complete disciplinary forms to document employee actions
- Advocate for raises for quality team members
- Help other teams and drive to other locations to ensure network‑wide strength
- Maintain the company vehicle if necessary
- Use Divvy to upload receipts for monthly expenses
Success metric: less than 35% annual full‑time turnover at the location.
Qualifications and Requirements- Lifting up to 50lbs, bending, and twisting
- Cleaning to a high level of detail up to 8 hours per day
- Medically cleared to operate heavy machinery and perform all physical work
- Excellent communication and available by a cell phone with a consistent number 24/7
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
- Pass a basic background check
- Pass a drug screening

Pay: $70,000 per year salary
