** Role Overview
** Equiton, a Canadian real estate investment firm expanding into the United States, is hiring a Managing Director, Broker-Dealer (U.S) based in Dallas, TX. The role leads the launch, regulatory oversight, and strategic growth of a new boutique, limited-scope broker-dealer focused on raising capital for private real estate investment offerings.
** Key Responsibilities**- Serve as the firm's designated Executive Representative and senior leader for the FINRA-registered broker-dealer
- Provide day-to-day leadership of the broker-dealer's operations, regulatory framework, and business activities, ensuring compliance with SEC, FINRA, and state requirements
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, and supervisory principals; act as liaison with regulators, auditors, and industry service providers
- Develop and execute the broker-dealer's strategic growth plan, expanding capital-raising channels across direct-to-consumer investors, independent financial advisors, RIAs, HNW/UHNW investors, family offices, and select institutional relationships
- Support Reg D and Reg A capital raises for private real estate and alternative investment offerings
** Qualifications**- Strong broker-dealer leadership experience with deep FINRA/SEC regulatory knowledge
- Practical experience raising capital for private real estate investments
- Ability to build a scalable, compliant distribution platform from an early stage
