Description

• Oversees the overall operation and activities of the Grounds and Athletic Fields Department
• Administer District policy and maintenance directives in relationship to disciplinary actions for direct reports
• Review and approve requests for purchases of tools, equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the District
• Completes monthly overtime reports
• Visit District sites to monitor grounds and athletic fields operations, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and operation instructions
• Monitor and enforce district safety regulations
• Performs annual employee evaluations
• Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist department personnel in solving problems
• Schedule, supervise, and monitor related field contractors and subcontracted personnel as needed to accomplish tasks
  
  Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to Grounds and Athletic Fields and Operations activities; advise appropriate personnel of regulation changes affecting the District
• Interface with internal and external customers ensuring effective communications regarding status and priority of events
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Comply with District policies and procedures
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned

Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency);
Bachelor's degree in a directly related field preferred

• Required Valid Texas Driver’s License and a record that meets the District’s standard
• Five (5) years of directly related experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience
• General knowledge of maintenance operations
• Knowledge of District policies and procedures
• Computer skills ( Microsoft office suite)
