Working with the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO), this individual supports the planning, coordination and design of a portfolio of projects and initiatives on behalf of the OCMO. This role leads data collection and analysis pertaining to critical projects and outcomes for the Office of the CMO and will occasionally manage projects on behalf of the CMO or serve as a strategic liaison for specific projects, including those pertaining to UT Southwestern or the JPE.

This person will work closely with and communicate to Children's Health executives and members of the Enterprise Transformation Office to keep the CMO and his or her team informed of project progress and issues. This role will also provide operational leadership across a portfolio of newly approved research centers, including the Allergy and Nutrition Center and the Allergy Center of Research Network.

This includes partnering on budgets and building out operations and infrastructure for these centers from the ground up.

Assess processes associated with the administrative, financial and people management of the OCMO, offer recommendations for improvement, and oversee implementation as needed.

Monitor a portfolio of initiatives, projects and critical outcomes on behalf of the OCMO. Work with leaders to interpret results and develop plans for improvement.

Manage and guide select projects, typically highly visible, on behalf of the OCMO, while partnering with appropriate project management resources and executive stakeholders.

Serve as a consultant for the OCMO, partnering with organizational leaders to integrate the priorities of the OCMO and the JPE into enterprise projects.

Oversee one or more areas of OCMO operations, including but not limited to administrative, financial or people management, working with the appropriate enterprise functions such as HR and Finance to ensure alignment across departments.

Partner with center leadership on budgets for newly approved research centers, including centers where the budget structure has not yet been formally established.

Support and help build out operations for newly approved research centers from the ground up.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Start time may be discussed further during the interview process.

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree preferred.

Experience

At least 10 years of demonstrated success in a healthcare environment required.

At least 5 years serving as a consultant or partner for clinical or research projects and initiatives preferred.
