Our client is a leading North American producer of construction and infrastructure materials seeking a strategic and technically accomplished executive to lead Aggregates & Asphalt operational excellence across North America.

Reporting directly to the North American executive leadership team, this high-impact role will drive performance improvement, operational excellence, cost optimization, leadership development, and best-practice implementation across a large network of production facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex, multi‑site organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for Aggregates and Asphalt operations across North America.
  • Develop and implement operational excellence initiatives that improve productivity, safety, and financial performance.
  • Establish and manage KPI frameworks to drive performance measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop performance improvement teams while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Identify and deploy operational best practices across multiple regions and business units.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, coaching, and leadership capability building.
  • Monitor market developments, emerging technologies, and industry trends to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Provide technical and commercial leadership during mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and due diligence activities.
  • Partner with regional and functional leaders to achieve strategic business objectives.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within aggregates, mining, construction materials, cement, asphalt, or related heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding of quarrying, aggregates production, and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with resource development, permitting, land acquisition, reclamation, and environmental compliance.
  • Strong financial, commercial, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and change leadership skills.
  • Track record of leading geographically dispersed teams in a complex operating environment.
