Objective

The Director Distribution is a high-level leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end distribution processes, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain operations. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and developing and executing distribution strategies to meet customer demands and support the company's growth objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities Of The Position
  • Develop and implement distribution strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the long-term vision for the distribution function.
  • Oversee all aspects of the distribution process, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Optimize warehouse and distribution center operations to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing distribution team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the distribution department.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of distribution operations.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to distribution and logistics.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including logistics providers and vendors, to optimize distribution processes.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience And Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 10+ years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.

  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
