Works under minimal direction to provide project management expertise in management of multiple projects or more complex projects for the Hospital and Ambulatory clinics in Health System Affairs. Will work directly with or in partnership with facilities, architects, engineers, consultants and various support teams in the execution of new construction, renovations and evaluation of existing facilities.

- Education Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Experience 5 years of project management experience or 9 years managing medium to large scale clinical projects and experience in communicating with executives in lieu of bachelors degree
- Education Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field
- Experience Prior Healthcare facility construction/renovation and activation experience
- Licenses and Certifications Eligibility for and plans to obtain project management certification desired Licensure and experience in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or similar a plus
- The primary purpose of the Sr. Project Manager position is to provide project management expertise for multiple assigned projects, support the UTSW Health System leadership goals and objectives and mentor other project managers.
- In collaboration with senior management owners and stakeholders from various departments, manage and define project scope, goals and deliverables that support Health System performance improvement goals; develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents; communicate effectively project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Review staff project plans and aid in execution of plans. Ensure all projects include current state analysis with operational processes and data analysis, future state creation including pilots with proven success metrics, and detailed execution.
- Work with all levels to understand operations, develop plans and workflow, and execute change management. Ensure communications at all levels from department chairs to clinic staff.
- Work closely with project owners/stakeholders on an ongoing basis; estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Assess needs for additional staff and/or resources and communicate recommendations to senior management.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders; delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel; identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team in collaboration with senior management; identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Take full ownership of the entire project life cycle, ensuring successful delivery that includes all phases from initiation to deployment, whether for one major initiative or several minor ones simultaneously.
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned with and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
