The Opportunity with Mc Kinstry

McKinstry is looking for a Senior Leader, Energy Asset Development to join our Energy Asset Development division in Texas. The Senior Leader, Energy Asset Development, serves as a visionary, innovative, and forward-thinking leader responsible for overseeing and driving sales and marketing strategy. This leadership role establishes the overall sales direction for the region, ensures achievement of financial and operational goals, and represents the company externally with clients, industry organizations, and partners.

The position demands a high level of leadership and management acumen, with responsibility for multi-level staff development and direct reports, program evaluations, and region-wide approvals. Additional responsibilities may include:

Strategic Sales Oversight
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive regional sales and marketing strategy, guiding direction, priorities, and performance outcomes across markets.
  • Act as a visionary and innovative future-thinker for the business - anticipating market shifts and driving the Energy Asset Development (EAD) go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical business plans aligned to EAD goals.
  • Guide the overall EAD sales direction, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and the 3-year / 5-year strategic plans.
  • Position the brand within identified vertical markets.
  • Support and lead MAP process and vertical market strategic planning activities.
  • Develop relationship strategies for Key and Strategic Clients, including oversight of critical deal strategy.
  • Represent McKinstry externally at industry events, client engagements, and with associations and organizations at local, state, and national levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, associations, and strategic partners.
  • Support customers with financial, contractual, and technical project matters.
  • Oversee Account Management for Key and Strategic clients; champion client feedback and lessons-learned processes.
  • Closely collaborate with Key and Strategic Clients, regional E&TS Business Units, and other LOB units to present an external "One Team" identity.
Regional Performance
  • Establish the Region's EAD annual budget inclusive of business units and regional platform.
  • Drive gross revenue and operating income growth as defined by annual goals.
  • Perform program evaluations to assess effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with EAD strategy.
  • Execute EAD-wide approvals for business plans, risk reviews, and high-stakes operational decisions.
  • Lead and oversee M  meetings; ensure financial management and fiduciary responsibilities including slippage, DOH performance, cash management, billings, receivables, and cash position.
  • Report identified business risk elements and lead mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure best practices in Risk Management; provide oversight of risk reviews and high-risk work.
Leadership:
  • Select, coach, and develop sales professionals.
  • Support sales team development strategies relating to procurement, legislative or policy initiatives, and/or account planning.
  • Aid sales staff in qualifying opportunities based on market knowledge and McKinstry ability to win.
  • Work with Regional business leaders to maximize market penetration.
Operational Excellence
  • Coordinate with BU Leaders to ensure successful, efficient, and profitable project development and execution.
  • Oversee the improved integration of Technology Services and EAD team sales, development, and delivery.
  • Drive operational best practices, PLC utilization, and continuous improvements to pursuit and development processes.
  • Support BU leaders and collaborate with Corporate Services on legal disputes, insurance claims, client delivery issues, and performance management.
