A growing, employee-owned engineering firm is looking for an experienced Group Manager - Water/Wastewater to establish and grow its presence in the Dallas market.

This is an opportunity for a senior water/wastewater professional who wants to move beyond simply managing projects and take ownership of team growth, client relationships, business development, and overall market expansion
.

The Opportunity

As Group Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing the firm’s water/wastewater presence across North Texas.

You’ll have the autonomy and resources to build relationships with municipal and utility clients, identify new opportunities, win work, and develop a team capable of delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

The position would suit someone who enjoys combining technical leadership with business development and people leadership and is motivated by the opportunity to build and grow a practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the water/wastewater group in the Dallas market.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipal, utility, and public-sector clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across North Texas.
  • Lead proposals, pursuits, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Provide technical and project leadership on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers and project managers.
  • Oversee project delivery, financial performance, staffing, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to pursue multidisciplinary opportunities.
  • Represent the firm within the Texas water/wastewater market and at industry events.
Ideal Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Texas PE license or the ability to obtain one.
  • 10+ years of experience within the water/wastewater engineering sector.
  • Strong municipal water and wastewater infrastructure experience.
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships and winning work.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a business and build a team.
