Primary PurposeThe Regional Family and Scholar Engagement Manager leads the implementation and management of Uplift's engagement and retention initiatives across a designated group of schools. Reporting to the Director of Family and Scholar Engagement, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to foster meaningful connections with scholars and their families, enhance school culture and experience, and support scholar re-enrollment and retention efforts.
The Regional Manager plays a key role in creating a positive and inclusive environment that aligns with Uplift's mission and values.
- Provide mandatory, on-campus, in-person weekly coaching and support for Family Engagement Coordinators (FECs) at each campus.
- Support FECs in customizing and implementing campus-specific playbooks for retention and recruitment initiatives, such as engagement and retention calendars.
- Guide FECs in effective time management and goal achievement to maximize impact.
- Coach FECs on navigating challenging situations with professionalism, self-awareness, and empathy.
- Hold FECs accountable for executing activities and achieving outcomes aligned with regional and network-wide family engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with CMO leadership in the hiring and onboarding of new FECs.
- Regularly attend PK-12 meetings and provide updates on enrollment and retention to the campus team.
- Join campus leadership meetings as a family engagement advocate, ensuring prioritization of activities and outcomes.
- Join relevant CMO meetings to ensure alignment and to provide insight into campus execution, including coordination across recruitment and enrollment teams.
- Create (and share with fellow Regional Manager) "plug and play" templates to drive standardized and consistent messaging across campuses (e.g., new parent playbooks, event communications, etc.)
- Implements Director-led processes and monitors progress on family communication standards, scholar withdrawals, and family complaints to resolution.
- Supports the development and implementation of campus-specific retention and engagement playbooks.
- Develop a deep understanding of each campus and community within their region.
- Work with FECs and campus leadership to adapt family engagement strategies to unique campus needs.
- Provides support for family and scholar onboarding at campuses and parent volunteerism recruitment for assigned campuses.
- Reviews campus data daily and supports overall regional enrollment and retention strategies to meet key performance indicators (KPI's) for retention and enrollment.
- Develop and execute Parent Power Hour and other virtual programming, including selecting topics, coordinating speakers, and managing the event calendar.
- Lead the planning and implementation of network-wide re-enrollment events, such as Welcome to Uplift Days, ensuring seamless execution.
- Establish and grow partnerships for family-focused adult education and parenting classes, driving increased participation annually.
- Closely monitor scholar re-enrollment at each campus by ensuring the implementation of the withdrawal mitigation process.
- Coach FECs through intervention processes and tactics to keep scholars within the network.
- Manage the monthly pulse check (POSSIP) to families by reviewing and compiling data and trends of each school fostering responsiveness to parent feedback.
- Ensure each campus is in compliance with the School/Parent Compact and Parent Involvement Policy and that they understand the requirements for Title I parent engagement.
- Collaborate with community organizations and partners to increase Family Engagement at campuses.
